SCLC Convention Center Project
Lipa Adventist Acadmey
Bugtong, Lipa City

Lipa Adventist Academy auditorium stands as a silent witness to the history of its own decades of service. Built in 1983, LAA auditorium has been a meeting place for SCLC-Wide conventions, biennial sessions, praise programs, youth festivals, camp meetings, and many other huge gatherings. These activities come on top of the academy regular meetings, church services, chapel convocations, recitals, graduations, and other school functions.

Though receiving enough maintenance attention, the auditorium enjoyed a little, if any, improvement. In 1996, an audio control cabin was installed up its rear entrance. From 2007-2008, the platform area had a little makeover, the floor tiled and the ceiling changed. Still, as a whole, the building looks so bare and plain.

At present, South-Central Luzon Conference membership reaches to over 55,000. With the increased number of delegates and participants on big gatherings, it is very difficult to accommodate everyone in the LAA auditorium. Large dome tents are put up by the auditorium to sit other participants. Others bring extra chairs and some prefer to stay in their cars.

The SCLC administration sees the need to expand the auditorium to be able to occupy at least 3,000 people. Furthermore, the builders of the old auditorium used asbestos for roofing. This materials was banned in 1989 by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) when found out to be a health hazard. The asbestos roofing will be replaced and the appearance transforms into modern convention center. The new building costs Php 8.5M ($202,000).

God has blessed our project with generous donors (local and abroad), workers, church members and supporters who have committedly shared their financial contribution. Their bayanihan support founded the Phase I construction of the building. The finishing touches of the faced and Phase I interior is now on its completion.

The SCLC Convention Center is God's monument where His people meet, fellowship, worship and serve. This edifice wil lbe a training center, a house of prayer, a venue for celebrations and a place of refuge. Worship gatherings, general assembly, seminars, trainings and meetings will be held in this hall.

Your wholehearted gifts and contributions will go a long way in completing the entire building. The SCLC administration conveys heartfelt appreciation for your generous share as you support our project - the SCLC Convention Center. Thank you so much for being a part of our growing church.

Evangelism can be done in many ways, and this work of us is just an example of it. We did not baptized anyone but there is a great cost in the heart of our brethren. It is something that no one can explain or imagine how joyous we are because there is an unmeasurable happiness in serving and joining God’s divine ministry. The Holy Spirit of Our Heavenly Father may continually work in the hearts of our parishioners that they may always support and join in every program or activity of our conference, district, and churches...
